YAPC::Asia Tokyo 2009サイト上において、スピーカーの募集とカンファレンスへの事前登録（チケット販売は後ほど行います）を本日より開始しました。20分、40分のプレゼンテーションの登録を受け付けています。
プレゼンテーションを行いたい方は、タイトル・アブストラクトをつけて、フォームから申し込み手続きを行ってください。フォームは共用のため英語となっていますが、タイトル、アブストラクトなどは日本語で記述していただいて OK です。複数のトークを登録されてもかまいません。
プレゼンテーション登録の〆切は、2009/07/17 を予定しています。
ライトニングトークはカンファレンスが近づいた8月中旬ごろから募集する予定です。
We are looking for 20 and 40 minutes presentations. Register the conference and submit your proposals via the web form (actual tickets will be sold later: this is for registering to the site).
Please make sure to include: title for your presentation, an abstract, what language of the talk will be in (English or Japanese), and the amount of time that you think you will need for the presentation. Feel free to submit multiple proposals if you want to increase your chance to speak.
The deadline for the submissions is July 17th, 2009.
Lightning Talks will be called for sometime in August.

If you want to cover part of your expenses for coming to YAPC::Asia Tokyo 2009, this is definitely a good move, so please let me know!
The reason I'm explicitly asking like this is, since Japan is a vastly different market than the rest of the world, we need to think about interpreters and such. I'm trying to figure out how / if the whole thing will pay out so that everybody is happy.

- まずはRichard Dice氏。現在The Perl Foundationの理事長として活躍されています。PerlおよびPerlコミュニティの今後について語っていただく予定です。
- Jonathan Rockway氏はCatalystやMooseのアクティブなデベロッパーとして活躍されています。Catalyst/Mooseのお話の他に、なぜPerlを使うのか、なぜPerlという技術はこれからもプレゼンスを発揮できるのかお話していただきます。
- そしてFlorian Ragwitz氏は最近頓にめざましい活躍をされているPerlハッカーです。MooseやCatalyst界隈のあちこちでハックしまくっているだけでなく、B::Hooks::*やDevel::Declareなどの変態的なモジュールを好んで開発する傾向があるので変態Perlハッカー向けのセッションを話していただきます。
It took me a while to get everything straight, but I'm proud to announce this year's YAPC::Asia Tokyo guest speakers. I'm sure none of the guests below need much introduction, but here's brief one anyways (all talk descriptions below are TBD):
- Richard Dice is the current president of TPF. We hope to hear what's up with Perl now, and what's coming in the future.
- Jonathan Rockway is a Catalyst + Moose hacker (among other things). He'll be talking about those techonologies, and also about why you should use Perl, why Perl is relevant.
- Florian Ragwitz is a... an interesting hacker. He pops up everywhere, and he seems to like to indulge himself on hacking on rather curious modules like B::Hooks::*, Devel::Declare and such. I'm sure all the crazy hackers in will get a kick out of talking to him :)
